Meet Winnie, she has just come into our care, directly from her tiny cold kennel at the greyhound track. She is small for a greyhound and is 2 and a half years old and is no longer needed by the Irish racing fraternity as is too slow. She was understandably very nervous when we got her but has travelled very well and settled her into her foster home. Early reports are that she is inquisitive, intelligent and desperate to bond. She has probably never been inside a house before but slept all night in a crate without a peep and was completely clean. She hasn't marked in the house at all since she arrived. She hasn't been assessed with children, dogs or cats yet, but we don't believe that she will have a high prey drive given the feedback we have had from the racing track.
