Everyone meet our next resident ….. Wilma🖤 This girl was signed over due to her owner feeling that he couldn’t meet her needs. It was the right thing to do, as she wasn’t getting enough exercise; mentally or physically. She was not getting a lot of training or the grooming as this breed requires 😣 However….she’s in our care now and absolutely loving it! She really is enjoying her walks and seeing the world. She’s been to the groomers and had to be cut right down due the matting on her ears and body. She smells a lot better now too! 🙈 Wilma is a 3 year old cocker spaniel. She has lived in outdoor kennels all her life but is very clever, so we don’t think it’ll be long until she is housetrained. She is adoring her new adventures. 🫶🏼 This girl is learning to walk alot better on lead and is listening well. It’s clear she loves to learn. She’s doing well around traffic and isn’t bothered by livestock. Wilma has greeted all the volunteers well and just wants to be your friend. ❤️‍🩹 She’s going to need a lifestyle full of adventures and love. Someone with an understanding of the breed, their characteristics and needs. They do need regular grooming as well mental and physical stimulation . 🐾🐾 This girl is good with dogs and people. She’s said to be good with children in the previous home as well.
