Everyone please say Hi to our newest resident…. Orion!💙 This lad is just over 2 years old and he is Lab x Pointer. Sadly he came in to our care due to his family not having enough time for him, resulting in Orion spending a lot of time in his crate and him not being walked. 💔 Since being in foster Orion has now settled down and starting to understand life outside of the crate. However, he does still have calm time in his crate as it’s a safe space for him. Orion sleeps in his crate, has calm time with a kong and if left he goes in there. 🐶 Orion is housetrained and travels well in the car. He won’t jump in the car, you do have to lift him. As soon as he is in, he is relaxed. When out walking originally, Orion was very strong on lead however, he now walks on head collar and is improving, this training will need to be continued. Orion is a bright lad and will train up well with the correct input. 💚 We need to find Orion a home with someone who understands rescue dogs, also what stimulation and exercise is needed for this lad. Orion has been brilliant with other dogs on walks and has previously lived with another dog. He is a little jumpy at times. Therefore a home with teenagers will be suitable. 🐾 With some time and effort Orion is going to be cracking lad. He would be fab for canicross, agility or Obedience training.
