Everyone meet our next resident …. Monty! Monty is a golden retriever who is 3 years old and sadly came into our care due to a very sensitive matter. This is NO fault of his own and further details will be given at a later stage of the adoption.💔 This lad is nervous due to the home environment that he can come from. Sadly there has been physical abuse. Thankfully, after spending some time in his foster home, he has quickly come around. He is shy around loud noises and fast movements.❤️‍🩹 Monty needs a home with people who have nervous dog experience as he can be jumpy and head shy to start but he does quickly come around. He needs a calm and confident handler.✅ This lad is good in the car and the house. He’s house trained and ok on his own for a few hours. Previously he has lived with another dog without an issue. If he is to live with another dog, they must be neutered and well balanced to teach him the way.🐾🐾 Out and about on walks he is happy to say hi to all the dogs and will go up and meet people who are calm. He could live with older dog savvy children as he is in foster with them now. 🏡 At the vets, he was nervous but a good boy. He’s passed a full healthcheck, mircochipped, up to date with flea, worm and vaccinations. He is now booked into be neutered. Monty needs some more lead training but this coming along well due to how switched in he is.
