Everyone meet our next poundie ….. Miss Mungo! 💔 This little lady is a true heart breaker. When we got to the pound, there was no doubt she was coming home with us. Even though we didn’t have the room!😣💔 We took her straight the vets and got a full healthcheck done and bloods were sent off for testing. Mungo was flat - psychically, mentally and emotionally. She was shutting down. The main this was to get her drinking and eating then re assess from there. The more you assess this girl the more damage you see.😣 There was much debate in what to do. Leave her the vets to help her psychically or take her to an urgent experienced foster near the vets. We went with experienced foster and thankfully that was the right decision.🙏🏼 Missy Mungo needed to feel warm and safe. So we set her up a crate with everything she needed and left her alone. Checking in every so often. ✨❤️🩹 Thankfully after originally refusing to drink or eat, she had a small meal and huge drink. She didn’t have the energy for anything else. Later that night, she was carried outside to go to the toilet and she went. Then she slept for nearly 12 hours straight after another small meal!😘 It’s clear this little lady has had an awful life. Neglect, abuse, breeding and suspected to be used for badger baiting. However even after all that, she’s been a super star with humans. She is even giving a few licks and a wagging stump!✨ She’s a long way from being out of the woods yet. Her bloods came back showing malnutrition, which is to be expected. A few other pointers weren’t the best. However she had gained 0.5kg in 24 hours! 💖 This girl is now enjoying a fuss and loves her food. She’s walking around the house a couple of times then goes back to bed. Miss Mungo is doing well considering. She defiantly has the fighting spirit of a terrier and we think she’s only young.. 😍 She sadly wasn’t strong even for a bath straight away, even though she stunk. Thankfully she’s now had a bath and she must feel so much better. The bath water was vile. The worst we have seen and that’s saying something. 😔 For now her wounds are being treated, confidence is building as is her strength. On Monday it’s back to the vets for another check and more bloods to see if they are all going the right way.✨ She’s not up for adoption yet. However do keep an eye out for updates on this special girl. We can not help dogs like Miss Mungo without your support, so thank you. 🙏🏼❤️🩹
