Everyone meet our next poundie, Matilda 🩷 Matilda was handed in to the vets as a stray, in a very pitiful state and was sadly not claimed. She is only a young girl (approx 2/3 years old) but has the appearance of a much older dog due to the abuse her poor body has been through in her short life. She was still producing milk when she arrived with us 💔 Matilda has one eye which she is definitely blind in due to a birth defect and her other eye is scarred due to old, untreated ulcers…..but that definitely doesn’t stop her!!! 🫶🏼💪🏼 Matilda needs a little time to trust you but once she does, you are a friend for life. Her actions indicate she’s not been treated very nicely in the past but her confidence grows with kind treatment. She absolutely loves a fuss but also likes her own space and will happily curl up on a bed next to you rather than sit on your knee. ❤️‍🩹 Matilda loves to follow you everywhere and will often stop sharply or tangle herself in your legs, so if you’re unsteady on your feet, she’s definitely not the dog for you. 🙈😂 This little lady is tolerant of other dogs and does mix nicely when the other dog is polite and respectful. But, she would definitely like to be an only dog and have her humans attention (and all the food) all to herself. 🐶 She walks well on lead, travels well in the car, is housetrained and was impeccably behaved at the vets and groomers. Please keep in mind, she will need regular grooming which will be an additional cost. ✂️ In short, Matilda is a cracking little dog and has come on leaps and bounds in just a week with her foster.
