Everyone meet our next resident …..Leyla!💙 Leyla is a dinky dot of a dog however she’s full of character and sassiness! She needs to be treated as if she was is a 50kg dog. Leyla is a year old today and is a teacup chihuahua.🎂🎉 This girl was signed over to our care due to her bullying the other resident dog. Her previous owner did get a dog trainer but nothing improved. So rehoming Leyla was best for everyone involved but a hard decision to make. 🐶 Leyla is a tiny however needs to treated like a proper dog! She adores her walks and will walk a fair distance. She loves going in the car and going on adventures!🐾 In the house she’s perfect. She greets guests well, sleeps all night, is housetrained and she’s a good eater. She can be a little nervous of people for a few moments but soon wants a fuss and cuddle.😇🫶🏼 The main issue with Leyla’s behaviour is her reactivity with other dogs. She reacts badly on lead. Due to her size we know people would be tempted to pick her up (endorsing her bad behaviour) and that’s not the answer as she will never learn. So while in foster, she’s going to have a lot of structured socialisation. This will be part of a training plan that will go with her when adopted. Please don’t apply unless you’re willing to work with us. She’s a ‘project’ dog!💛 We are looking for a home with people who are willing to listen and follow instruction - so Leyla can have the best possible life. 🤞🏽 At the vets, she was a star with being handled and touched. She’s booked in to be spayed and is fully vaccinated, flead, wormed, mircochipped too. 🌟 Please share far and wide!🤞🏽 Remember to complete the form below if you’re interested in adoption;
