Everyone meet our next resident ….. Jewel!💜 Jewel came into our care due to being ‘retired‘ from racing. Now she’s been rescued, she’ll never have do anything like that again. Just walks and zoomies, if she wishes!😘 This girl is a sweetheart and is loving however, she can be shy for the first few moments when she meets you. At first, she can be a tad head-shy but this is improving. ❤️‍🩹 Jewel is 4 years old and turns 5 in May. She walks well on her lead and is happy walking with another dog or on her own. We will be assessing her further around different types of dogs as we carry on her assessment.🐶 She’s still learning about the world and what it has to offer, which is typical of a rescue, ex-racing greyhound. They haven’t seen much so they are like pups - they need to be socialised and exposed to real life. So far, she’s really enjoying it.🧡 We feel she could live with older, dog-savvy children, she could live or without another greyhound/ sighthound (still assessing different types of breeds). Sadly, she can’t live with small furies. 🏡 Jewel travels well and is happy to be handled. She loves her walks and the odd zoomies! This girl is booked in to be spayed next week as well. She’s been flead, wormed, microchipped and had her vaccinations. This girl adores her food as well!👍🏻 We will do another update this week with how she is getting on.
