Foster update for Ginger …. Can’t believe no one wants this amazing lad!😍 Ginger is a Staffordshire bull terrier. He came to us with a dose of the flu and was feeling a bit sorry for himself. Having said that he is still active and shows more vigour than you would expect of a dog at nine years old. He's very loving, rarely makes a sound, barking a little at the postman, but relishing the extra cuddles he gets from visitors. He hasn't been walked much lately due to his former owner being unwell and came to us out of condition and a bit overweight. He is now enjoying his walks and building up his muscle tone, only needing two half hour walks a day to keep him happy. He walks well on the lead and is GenCon trained so he can be easily corrected if necessary. He occasionally reacts to other dogs but usually only if the other dog acts first. He's fine to be left alone for short periods, and patiently awaits your return. He doesn't chew what he shouldn't and generally wants to just be around you and sometimes play a little. He likes to be near you when he beds down for the night and sleeps in his own bed in the bedroom. It wouldn't take much for him to be trained to sleep downstairs apart from his uncanny ability to open doors! A stair gate does the trick. Generally he's a loving, low maintenance dog who just wants a bit of love in his last few years. He can be full of fun and has a bit of a cheeky personality but doesn't push it too far. He'd be fine with other older dogs and children, but as an older gentleman he would need space to get away and relax. Everyone meet our next poundie …. Ginger!🧡 Ginger sadly found himself in the pound and at risk of losing his life, at the age of 9 years old. Thankfully we managed to find him a foster home! 💔❣️ This lad a typical staffie. He adores being with you and doing whatever you’re doing. He is spotless in the house and has been good on his own for short period which we are building up. All is going well!😘 Ginger loves his cuddles and fusses on the sofa. It’s clear he has been loved like a family member at some point within his lifetime!😔🥰 This lad greets everyone like long lost friend and everyone gets the staffie waggy tail and big kisses! We feel he could live with dog savvy children.🏡❤️ At the vets, he had a full health check which he passed. He has started his vaccinations, been flead and wormed too. Ginger will be neutered once he has settled and gained a little condition.🐾 In the car, he loved to watch the world go by. He is a fab traveller, you don’t even know he is there. He is more than happy to be handled too!💖 Ginger is ok with dogs when out walking but he doesn’t like dogs in his face. He mirrors what the other dogs do, if they ignore him he does the same. If they bark he barks. This is improving daily. However he is best suited as an only dog in the household as he adores all the attention!💙 This lad makes you smile the moment you meet him, he is going to be someone’s best friend.
